The United States Concealed Carry Association (USCCA) Basic Handgun Course is a 2.5 hour beginning handgun course, and is much more than just a basic gun safety class. No prior firearms experience is required. Learn the basic firearm safety rules. Learn how to safely and properly handle, use and store a handgun. Learn proper basic pistol shooting fundamentals such as aiming, grip, stance, breathing, trigger control, etc.
We know that many beginning students need extra attention. Our beginning handgun classes are small to keep things safe, and to make sure students get plenty of individual attention. But before you even get to the range, you'll already understand how to handle the pistol safely and properly. We use safe plastic/rubber training pistols in the classroom, so you'll have plenty of time to practice the fundamental skills and get comfortable handling a pistol with our individual coaching, before even touching a real pistol at the range. (Depending on the venue, we may additionally have real, unloaded pistols in the classroom for demonstration and to practice loading and unloading the pistol using dummy plastic ammunition, but there will never ever be any live ammunition allowed in the classroom, again to keep things very safe for everyone.)
By the end of the class, you'll leave feeling much more comfortable around guns because you will have the confidence knowing that YOU know how to safely and properly handle a handgun.
Cost: $130 per person
